Navajo Nation - Enacts Historic Broadband Legislations


President Buu Nygren recently signed the Navajo Nation Capital Development and Financing Act (CJA-05-26), unlocking $521 million for Navajo Nation broadband infrastructure. Combined with $285 million in federal BEAD funding, this initiative aims to provide high-speed internet access to every Chapter, every home, every phone of the Navajo Nation - fostering new opportunities for health care, education, business, and digital growth.

Announced in Santa Fe, NM, the Navajo Nation secured $111 million in BEAD funding to expand high-speed broadband infrastructure and connect more than 11,000 households across New Mexico.
